Recently a lot of clients have been asking me if there is a pamphlet on how to operate their new Conservation Texas Windows. Although most windows function the exact same way, our specialized our Texas windows have a few specific features. In today’s article we will be covering all their unique features, the ways you can open them, and our custom locks.

Custom Locks

Our two point locking system ensures that you have optimum protection. You push the buttons in while turning the locks. This two point system means that you must be standing inside the home to open the windows. Unlike locks of the past they aren’t susceptible to prying open with old bottom locks. You push them back into place to engage the locks again. It’s that easy.

Cleaning The Window

Now that you know how to lock your windows properly, you can now clean them with ease too. To do this you need to first unlock the windows. Then, on top of the single hung frame, you’ll find two separate latches like this (see picture below)

Once both latches are pushed in you can pull the window down like this.

These are my very own Conservation Texas Windows. This allows you to be able to clean the window from the inside. Make sure when you lift the window out that you pull it straight back. You don’t want to accidentally pull out at an angle because it could get lodged in the window sill the wrong way. I have cleaned my windows many times this way. It just makes life so convenient.

Taking Out Screens

Taking out the screens of our windows is the easiest part. All you need to do is reach toward the bottom of the window screen, and lift up on the screen’s frame. It’ll give just enough for you to pull the frame out.
